The Fulton County Highway Department in conjunction with United Consulting hosted a Ribbon Cutting for the Mt. Zion Bridge and Mill Pond Dam on December 2, 2011. The new bridge over Rain Creek, which is the third generation of bridges at this historic site, spans 150 feet. The new bridge will provide a safer route for school buses while the dam will protect local residents from potential flooding.
