FEATURED PROJECT

Client:  City of Sullivan, Indiana

UNITED evaluated the City’s Water Quality Standard (WQS) and CSO regulation compliance issues to determine the most cost-effective method to achieve compliance.  UNITED also assisted with enforcement action negotiations with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM).  The selected project included a new, extended aeration treatment plant that utilized the existing treatment lagoons as wet-weather off-loading basins.  UNITED provided survey, planning, permitting, design and construction administration for the project. The project was funded utilizing an SRF Program low-interest loan and an Office of Community Affairs (OCRA) grant.
