After a year-long, active pursuit and fierce competition, the PB Americas/ UNITED CONSULTING Team was selected to complete the design of the long awaited I-69 project. This $500 million project will be 55 miles long from SR 64 to US 231 with over 96 bridges and six interchanges. In addition to decreasing the drive-time from Indianapolis to Evansville, this stretch is likely to stimulate economic development along its path while increasing safety with its superior design.
The magnitude of the I-69 project will make it the largest in UNITED'S history. UNITED'S key role over the next several years will include design in road and bridge, right-of-way engineering, survey, and some project management with staff added as necessary. I-69 promises to be an outstanding project for both UNITED and the communities of Southwest Indiana.
